These release notes are for Generic Ethernet/IP VIM Firmware v4.2.3.

These release notes are for changes made to the Generic Ethernet/IP VIM Firmware for v4.2.3. The previous released firmware version is v4.2.1. The flash procedure is documented in the product manual.

Who should upgrade?

This release RECOMMENDED for all users of the Generic Ethernet/IP firmware. This is REQUIRED for users powering the VIM with a DC-DC power supply.

What's new in this release?

The following defects were corrected:

Loss of configuration due to DeltaV DC/DC power Supplies

The following DeltaV DC/DC Power Supply caused the VIM non-volatile RAM to be adversely affected. On power loss and subsequent restoration, the VIM would lose its commissioning and network configuration information. This defect has been corrected,
