MiMiC DeltaV CIOC/VCIOC SIO Driver
The MiMiC DeltaV CIOC/VCIOC SIO Driver provides full IO simulation for DeltaV v11.3 S-Series controllers using the actual Charm IO Card or Virtual Charm IO Card software running in a PC.

DeltaV Charm IO Card Simulated IO definition in MiMiC Explorer
Complete IO Simulation for DeltaV v11.3 S-Series Controllers
This Simulated IO (SIO) Driver uses the DeltaV Simulate PPN or ASN OPC Server to simulate IO signals for Charm IO using the actual Charm IO Cards or Virtual Charm IO Cards. This solution supports all DeltaV v11.3 Charm IO signals, except for HART digital IO signals which are not simulated by the Charm IO Card (CIOC) or Virtual CIOC at this time. For more information about DeltaV Charm IO Simulation in DeltaV v11.3, please see the DeltaV Virtual IO Charms Simulation product data sheet, and DeltaV v11.3 Books Online. IO signals from CIOC and Virtual CIOC are allocated in the DeltaV CIOC SIO definition in MiMiC Explorer to SIO Tags. Those SIO Tags are then directly used in MiMiC simulation models.
Simulated IO definitions are generated from the DeltaV IO definitions in the DeltaV Export File using the DeltaV FHX Utility in MiMiC. Changes to the DeltaV IO Definitions can be updated in MiMiC by doing a partial export of the IO definition and converting that export file is to a XML file for import into MiMiC.
