The MiMiC OPC Express Interface (Xi) Client SIO Driver provides real-time IO signal simulation for process automation systems that have an OPC Express Interface (Xi) Server.

This Simulated IO (SIO) Driver provides real-time IO signal simulation for any off-line process automation systems that has an OPC Express Interface (Xi) Server for IO access. It allows MiMiC Simulation Software use with any open off-line automation system for application software testing or operator training. Fully-qualified data paths, based upon the WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) standard are allocated in the Xi SIO definition in MiMiC Explorer to SIO Tags. Those SIO Tags are then directly used in MiMiC simulation models.

Simulated IO definitions are easily built in the MiMiC Explorer. The graphical, intuitive user interface allows easy development and modification of the SIO definition. In addition, data initialization and startup commands can be entered directly into the SIO Definition screens for easy integration with the off-line control system.

The OPC Express Interface (Xi) Client SIO Driver provides an easy-to-use, high-performance simulation interface for off-line simulation control systems. Features of the SIO Driver include:

• Full read/write access to native Xi Servers or "Xi wrapped" OPC DA Servers.
• Supports Xi Express Interface protocol as defined by OPC Foundation, Express Interface Standard.
