CS12: Operators Trained for Plant Start-Up with Life Cycle Dynamic Simulation for a PlantPAx DCS

When a chemical company relocated and retrofitted an ammonia plant, training new operators and gaining adoption with veteran operators became critical. The company achieved its goal with Mimic Life Cycle Dynamic Simulation from MYNAH Technologies. The virtual plant with PlantPAx controls provided a cost-effective option allowing the company to train approximately 80 new operators in 9 months before the plant’s start up.

T77: Operator Training & Control System Testing Solved

Operator performance can have a surprising impact on plant profitability, however, traditional training methods are not sufficient. This presentation will explore and demonstrate a solution in the pulp and paper industry for hands-on operator training and control system testing using the Rockwell Software® Studio 5000® Logix Emulate™ for Operator Training along with Mimic Dynamic Simulation

Chemical Industry Forum

The chemical industry is projected to grow through 2020 even outpacing the overall U.S. economy. Driven by strong demand and low inputs costs along with increased global competitiveness of US manufacturers, many companies are expanding operations and improving processes. In this forum, join industry experts in discussing market outlook and trends, and discover best practices from world class plants focused on plant-wide control and optimization to drive productivity, reduce costs, and drive efficiency in this rapidly expanding market.

MYNAH's Todd Anstine & Todd Jaco will be discussing dynamic simulation and operator training for the chemical industry.

Thursday, Nov 10 @ 9:00-11:30am in Room B406

If you are attending PSUG or Automation Fair, please drop by our sessions and/or booth #554 in the exhibit hall. We would love to talk to you about Dynamic Simulation, Industrial Ethernet integration or your plant's specific operational requirements.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta!

Best Regards,
