FMC VIM2 Firmware v2.1.4 Release Notes
By Nobin William
Product: IOD-4115 - FMC722 Ethernet Protocol Driver for DeltaV VIM2

These release notes are for the FMC722 Ethernet/IP protocol firmware v2.1.4 for the VIM2 card.

Product Description:

Release notes are for the FMC VIM2 Firmware (2.1.4). The previous general release is v2.1.2.

Who Should Upgrade?

This release is available for all users of FMC firmware on VIM2’s.

The Following Defects Were Corrected:

1. v2.1.3 - Fixed clearing of all cards "new data" flags each time new data called. This improves the through put of IO updates.

2. v2.1.4 - Removed lag between update of high word in DO SP and AO Mode registers during the startup of communications following a DeltaV download (when register status goes to good). This made it possible for the VIM2 to refuse the first write to the register. The VIM2 now sets the high word during the testing of the download, and maintains this through the connection process. All writes are valid once status goes to “good”.
