MYNAH Announces the Release of Mimic v3.6.3

Chesterfield, Missouri, USA (January 24, 2017) MYNAH Technologies announces the latest release of Mimic, dynamic simulation software for plant life-cycle business results. Mimic Simulation Software is a next-generation software platform for the process industries, providing fast, easy, flexible, dynamic simulation for plant operations life cycle results.

This latest release of Mimic, v3.6.3, contains new functionality that makes improving plant operations easier and faster, including:

  • Enhancements for better mining and solids process simulations
  • Simulation performance enhancements and optimizations
  • New Simulated IO Driver for Siemens PCS7 and S7 Systems

Enhanced Mining and Solids Process Simulations

Making dynamic simulation easier and more useful for the mining industry MYNAH, in collaboration with Portage Technologies, made the following enhancements in Mimic v3.6.3:
  • High Pressure Grinding Roller support for the Crusher Advanced Modeling Object
  • PSD View: a new view that displays P30, P50 and P80 marks for each size distribution in process streams.
  • Support of model speedup/slowdown and execution rates as fast as 100 msec
  • Rosin-Rammler or Gates-Gaudin-Schuhmann model data configuration added to Bin, Flotation Cell, Mill, Settling Tank and Vessel in the Advanced Modeling Objects.

Simulation Performance and Optimizations

Enhancements to Mimic streams and the pressure/flow solver in Mimic 3.6.3 result in 30% increase in model performance as well as improved model accuracy supporting larger, more complex models. These performance enhancements include: Valve Object improvements to support more valve types and more realistic mechanical behavior; Vessel Object support of separate liquid and vapor accumulation; Pump Object now includes additional execution types and solution methods; and the new Rapid Modeler function block which identifies process response type and dynamics quickly allowing for better identification of control design and tuning improvements.

Simulated IO Driver for Siemens S7 & PCS7

The release of Mimic v3.6.3 includes enhancements of our existing Simulated IO Driver for Siemens, ‘Mimic SPA SIO Driver’, to include support for the Siemens SIMIT Simulation Software. Already deployed on several projects globally, this Simulated IO Driver extends the benefits of dynamic simulation with Mimic to plants that use the Siemens S7 and PCS7 systems. The enhanced Mimic SPA SIO Driver also supports integrated process and control system snapshots and system speedup/slowdown using Mimic Operator Training Manager. (SIEMENS, SIMATIC, STEP 7, S7-300, and S7-400 are trademarks of Siemens AG or its affiliates in the United State and in other countries)

In addition, there are several enhancements made to Mimic’s Bulk Generation Utility, Explorer, DeltaV FHX Utility, Simulation Engine, Simulation Studio, VIM Bridge, TestBench and OTM Engine.

Mimic v3.6.3 is released and is available for any new system purchases. Mimic users who are current on Mimic Software Support can upgrade to Mimic v3.6.3 for no additional charge.
